County Night

The NCBA hold a duplicate pairs evening every Wednesday night at Nottingham Bridge Club starting at 7.00pm. The competitions held over the year are listed below.
The programme consists (apart from the individual Championship) of pairs events. Any members may participate in any session of these events.
If you want to challenge the best players in the county, this is the place to be. Table fees are £2.00.

The Black Cup and the Farr Cup

The Black Cup and the Farr Cup are mixed pairs and similar pairs competitions held on alternate Wednesdays.
Other pairs may play, but do not qualify for the trophies.
In each, the pair with the best 5 scores out of 9 sessions is awarded the trophy.

The Presidents Cup

The Presidents Cup is awarded to the player with the best 6 scores out of the 10 sessions.

October 1st 2008 - December 10th 2008.

Spring Event

The Spring Event is a new competition for 2009, replacing the Butler IMPs. The format is Match Pointed Duplicate Pairs, and the champion will be the player with the best 5 scores out of the 8 sessions.

Dates:

January 7th 2009 - March 11th 2009.

The Individual Championship

The Individual Championship is held on a single session in January.

The Priday Cup

The Priday Cup is awarded to the player with the best 5 scores (obtained with at least two different partners) out of the 8 sessions.

Simultaneous Pairs

In addition to the Competition programme, the NCBA also participates in the Bridge Great Britain Simultaneous Pairs Events held in the Spring, Autumn and Winter.

National Pairs Qualifying Heat

The qualifying heat for the National Pairs will be held on February 25th 2009.
